Madoka
Takagi was born in Tokushima,
Japan in 1983 and is a contemporary Japanese artist. In 2008
she graduated from Printmaking course, Department of Painting
Tama Art University.
In university, she used to study prints making, however on the
one hand, she was making the works by papier-mâché. In 2007
she had a first solo exhibition at Gallery Tsubaki, she was
praised by a lot of collectors between domestic and overseas.
Her mother is Japanese dress maker; therefore her art style
is influenced by Japanese textile. However the form of her artworks
has a taste of European style, we can feel something like an
erotic on her art works.
