Chika Hattori studied woodblock printmaking at Tama Art University (Tokyo) and has been working mainly in the field of oil painting since graduation. Her works are in the collections of Museum of Modern Art Gunma (Gunma), Fuchu Art Museum (Tokyo), Tokyo Opera City Art Gallery (Tokyo), and Tama Art University Museum (Tokyo) and Tama Art University Museum (Tokyo).
She brings motif shapes to the canvas with delicate color gradations.The motif is close-up and color-altered by her senses, transforming into an abstract image.Her obsession with the form creates charm, and her painting techniques that make the most of the color of the paint give off beautiful colors as if they were full of light.
