版画よりキャリアをスタートし、その後油彩画の制作を開始し、子供と動物を組み合わせた画風で知られるようになる。2007年、2009年、2014年にオランダ・アムステルダムのCANVAS INTERNATIONAL ART GALLERYで個展を開催。その後、海外での個展も成功させる。彼女の画風を真似るアーティストも見かけるようになったが、彼女の画風は唯一無二である。かつての超フラットなタッチから、バロックのような陰影を描き、手書きの繊細なディテールを生かしたスタイルへと変化。アメリカ、イタリア、ローマでも個展を開き、アジアを越えて注目されている。麻友香は見逃すことのできない重要な画家である。

Her first works was printmaking. Gradually she began making oil on paintings. She became well known for style of painting that was combined images of children and animals.She held solo exhibition at the Canvas International Art art gallery Netherlands, Amsterdam in 2007, 2009 and 2014. Since then she began more successful exhibitions abroad. Her style of a kind although, we can now see artists who imitate her style, she is the original. From the former super flat touch, now she draws the Baroque-like shadows and changed to a styleembraces fine handwritten detail. Since then, she has continued to update her own expression a little bit with each presentation. She has also exhibited in the U.S., Italy, and Rome, attracting attention beyond Asia. Mayuka is an interesting and important painter who should not to be overlooked.
